Short reviews for these films below.Spread (USA, 2009)Misleading trailer made me think it's just another "pretty boy is fooling around until he meets a girl, the one and the only, and decides to settle down" romantic comedy, always so typical for Hol...
I had a flashback from Above the Law
I've already mentioned before that Steven Seagal is doing a reality TV series about the cops, and I am glad to see this is still going as planned. Steven Seagal: Lawman is going live in a few weeks and here is another chance to see the sample of what...
The kids ain\'t right
Don't mind the overly gruesome poster, this film is still in post-production and nothing is final yet. Say hi to Tucker & Dale vs Evil, a new horror comedy starring Alan Tudyk (Firefly) and Tyler Labine (Reaper), both starting to develop a seriou...

Top Gun

Hi!
My name is Julia and I work with Rooftop Films (www.rooftopfilms.com), a summer film series dedicated to showcasing new, independent films and emerging bands in unique outdoor locations. I thought you might be interested in one of our upcoming programs. This Saturday, June 6th, at 8pm we will be holding a screening of Stingray Sam in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Stringray Sam tells a story of the future, based on themes of modern society, with an old-fashioned sensibility borrowing on the traditions of sci-fi, westerns, singing cowboy serials and musicals of
classic American film. I hope you can include it in Cinema Beacon Blog this week!
