Yanqui Mike Buenos Aires
http://www.yanquimike.blogspot.com
Published continuously since April 2003, yanquimike.com.ar describes the experiences of the burgeoning expat community in Buenos Aires.
From the beginning, the blog has been a rallying point for US Democratic Politics in Argentina and was selected as The Official Blog of all Democrats Abroad by Howard Dean in 2008. The blog was credentialed and correspondents seated on the main floor of the Democratic National Convention in August of that year.
The blogs coverage of the convention was selected by The Library of Congress for inclusion in its collection of materials dealing with Election 2008.
As one of the longest chroniclers of Buenos Aires expats, Yanqui Mike Buenos Aires is positioned well to report and comment on state of the community and how it will cope as Argentina comes to grips with how to administer the unprecedented number of foreigners that have arrived in the Paris of the Palmtrees since the 2001 economic crisis.
