The British National Party, who think that Britain should not only be kept for British people, but for white, Christian people, have won a seat at the European Parliament.

What do you suppose is the reason for the shift towards the right in Europe?

Do you think that the recession is leading people towards nationalism?

There is only one party left in Western countries: the extreme center.
    1. Epicharis
      That's complete nonsense.

With the possible exception of the up and coming "Pirate party"

Sweden's pro-file sharing Pirate Party is on its way to Brussels having secured more than 7 percent of the country's votes in the European Parliament elections, according to early exit polls.

thats interesting ... i should pay more attention to european politics
    1. Epicharis
I wish Brits would pay more attention to European politics too!
    2. siralmo
well you're isolated like iceland its natural not to consider those offshore unless you have a reason
    3. Epicharis
Being part of the EU is a fairly good reason! Problem is that the politics of the EU is almost never reported in the UK so people don't understand it...and then some nazi tells you that it costs £40mil a day and that they're telling us what to do and stealing our jobs...and people end up voting for them...
    4. siralmo
i think its just a mental thing, coz you guys didn't really have to before, i mean you did but you didn't if you get what i mean

      now its more intertwined
    5. Epicharis
I honestly have no idea what that comment means...You've utterly baffled me!
    6. siralmo
ok so i had a think about it and my point was that there were politics but not everything was dependent on what happened on the mainland, where as now things that happen in poland can now affect you guys aswell

i think they should disband European parliament, it's an ugly monster

560,594 so far have voted racist BNP in a democratic election. It seems that the British education and communication system has FAILED to make the UK a better place. And don't forget that the BNP represented themselves by using stock images of their ''voters'' on their leaflets and outreach materials. Seriously!?

Why do they even want to be in the EU?
    1. Epicharis
They want to be MEPs so that they can remove us from the EU.
    2. maryse
      So do other parties.
    3. Epicharis
I know, but that's the reason why the BNP want to win seats in the European Parliament.
    4. maryse
Political analysts are trying to define that people vote for BNP due to apathy, for "jokes", a vote against labour, recession etc but why does it never occur to them and others that there are a lot of racists in the UK. They are a racist party that advocate and promote racism. It is down to racism. Simple.

I don't know but what I have seen in UK and Ireland, the people should be more aware of what happens in the world.

Just a simple question. If the 50pc of the voters don't exercise their right, do you think the BNP supporters won't do. Of course they will. Let's take our lesson. The road was opened for them.

So next time, everybody should vote.

However there are worse parties in Europe than BNP. Chrisi Avgi (golden sunrise)in Greece they recently tried to set fire in an old court house which is nothing more than a landfill of immigrants because the government has ignored them completely.

Germany and Sweden were the only countries that did not give any far right support at all. On the other hand the number of the people who voted for the psycho killers (nazis) dropped... let's go there

Check out this pic... is very funny (not in my blog)

Also in Uk and Ireland what I have noticed. Lack of left wing parties. Lack of a strong anarchist movement, lack og huge anti racism organizations like in Germany...

UK never suffered from fascism as we did in Greece, as it happened in Spain, Germany... people don't know what they vote for. There should be more political education... oh dear I am moving to London in August.

Death to fascism is the only thing I could say.

I am astonished and saddened, I guess this generation has forgotten the lessons of the second world war, if they are even aware of it. No! I am thinking not. When I talk to my mum's neighbours on the housing estate up north when I visit home I am sad to say I am not surprised. shrug!

England did not suffer as much as the rest of Europe, especially as Greece, Poland, Russia and Germany who ended up divided.

We gotta do everything possible to defeat this party for our future. Fascism will not pass. Not ever did.
    2. jafabrit
England may not have suffered to the same extent, but it suffered enough consequences to have been a reminder. Ignorance of history dooms people to make the same blasted mistakes, and there is a LOT of ignorance. So yes education is important, via schools, news, media, internet.

Nick Griffin has said that the EU should sink boats carrying illegal immigrants.

What about sink a boat with him and his supporters inside?

He is a fascist idiot, licking for power and nothing more. Let's get our lesson. In the next elections, everybody has to vote.
    2. michaelwillow
He is not the only one btw

At least he talks abt EU which is something positive. See what the reformism does... poor fascists you gotta celebrate cause your grave will open very soon.
    3. Epicharis
I'm not sure that it's a good thing that he is suggesting it be EU policy to sink boats carrying immigrants...he's not just a guy down the pub suggesting it, he's an MEP!
    4. michaelwillow
At least he talks abt EU. Before the elections he was totally against the EU. SO... reformism and power, that's all... typical fascist.

There are several ways to get rid off him. One by one all the fascists will end up hanged. Everything gets worse before it gets better but nothing will get better without action.

Go to the BBCapitalist (known as BBC) and check the BNP Trolls with multiple accounts commenting in the have your say section... Encourage your friends to comment against the BNP as well. For God's shake. The most conservative opinions I have ever seen come from UK and Ireland... Don't let them act. The internet has become a medium of ideology promotion. Let's do it before it's too late.
    5. michaelwillow
and always remember it is only 945.000 votes. Britain is abt 55.000.000 people. Shame to let a few dumbers to mess it up. This will not pass. Death to fascism.
