I'm amazed at just how many people outside the USA click on my blog daily. Thank you! I hope together we can work towards world peace. Check out my posting tonight as I discuss this at peoplepowergranny.blogspot.com. And vote in my poll as to whether you trust folks from other countries as well as those in your own.

I lived outside the states for 17 years and I was treated with great respect. There are some crazy places in the world, and i've been to a few of them, but most of the people who come here from those places are here because their place was crazy, fanatic, totalitarian...So, I think we should treat all legals with respect. With the issue of illegals in America, i think if the government is going to let them stay here, then they should not be abused and should be treated with dignity. It is not right to come here illegally, but it is more wrong to abuse those who are here. I simply want to reciprocate with the same treatment I have received in my life as i traveled to 34 countries. We are our brother's and sisters' keepers!

I know that international people add a lot of life to the party in America. I have spent my whole adult life around International people. America's face has drastically changed and for the better as a result of internationals, of whom are our for bearers as well. I do think America has to do something about Illegal immigration and make the legal kind easier.

The more I think about this question, the stranger it sounds. It's very, very odd, especially for me. I have been in numerous countries, locked in immigration for no reason at all, spat at, abused, had people try and rob me on numerous occassions, but still I think there are great people everywhere. It's a very very strange question to ask considering the amount of people in the world, the diversity of cultures and the individuals with in each culture. If you want to see the beauty of any culture, just watch the mothers with young children ...and then ask the question of whether you could trust those people.

I'm an American living in Germany. Some of the younger generations are really not happy with us being here (and we do not make it easy for them to like us), but I've personally had no problems at all. My family and I have made good friends here. People are just people no matter where you go. Sure, some people are jerks, but that is also everywhere. I will trust everyone until an individual gives me a reason not to.

I live in Ireland and my whole family is in France (except my kids); of course I trust people from other countries! I don't trust the French President though, but neither do I trust the Irish Prime Minister!

I don't trust furiners at all, oh poop, I am one
well I suppose I am to Americans being that I am British, but then I am an America citizen, so that doesn't work. Okay I suppose I am to British because I am American, but I sound British, dang, that isn't going to work. I suppose if I go to Saudi Arabia they won't trust me because I am a (drumroll) a "feminist" from "america" or so it might seem.
Okay, never mind I am just in a facetious mood today. Like Jill and some others, I trust until given a reason not to, or trust my instincts and that has nothing to do with culture, race, gender etc.
