That's horribly off. My blog is about a month old with no PR and a 700k Alexa Ranking and gets 250 visits per day and is apparently worth $25,000. For more realistic valuing I'd suggest www.dnscoop.com though no auto-appraiser is really going to be 100% accurate.

These domain value checks are always way off. For example, it says google is only worth $1.1 billion while GOOG's market cap is over $211 BILLION!!! Our site www.vlogolution.com gets $6,148, while our video blogs URLs that feed into vlogolution.com get for www.HotRoast.com $10,918 and for www.moMoneyTV.com it shows $37,418! However, searching for vlogolution in google returns 1,400,000 results but the domain has the lowest value! And this doesn't even consider that we have over 45,000 subscribers in our YouTube channel! So it's probably fair to say that you can probably use the figures as an absolute rock bottom MINIMUM worth for your domains. :-D

I assume it only takes into account the amount of links pointing to the site, not the visitor count/company value/anything else. These figures are completely inaccurate and shouldn't really be used for anything. If they are rock bottom minimum then I could be making millions a year just by creating month-old blogs and putting 40 posts onto them.

Not terrible worried about the value
Just want to know how to get 500 visitors a day???
Help Lucky to get 5 - 10 -

omg... it says mine is worth $0 too.
This is not accurate. It has been up to $12,000 in the past.
Don't trust Technorati.
They don't even ping your blog regularly. I have to do it manually now.-
awannabe
Your blog, adultchildbio.blogspot.com/, is worth $27,662.46

Why do people say JAJA instead of haha.
Its obviously on purpose because if you typed JAJA it would look weird and you would erase it.
My blogs worth 6 thousand dollars. -

That formula is wrong. Mine is worth $61,000. I average about 750 visitors a day and have 17,000 back links.

If y'all would read the description. lol
"Inspired by Tristan Louis's research into the value of each link to Weblogs Inc, I've created this little applet using Technorati's API which computes and displays your blog's worth using the same link to dollar ratio as the AOL-Weblogs Inc deal."

It has nothing to do with visitors or backlinks. The 'blog worth' is directly connected to Technorati and Technorati alone. Watch the value rise when ever your "Technorati Authority' raises. I have '503' blog reactions (blogs linking to mine), my authority is '162', in turn my worth is '$90,890.94'.
BlogJuice measures your blog juice by looking at Bloglines subscribers (40%), Alexa ranking (15%), Technorati ranking (30%) and Incoming links from Technorati (15%).

Technorati does slip up now and again. I just check in a little while after putting up a new post to see if it has been picked up on. If not I manually ping.

Mine www.handingchao.com is worth 13,548.96. I think it should be worth more.

My blog was only created last week and....
Your blog, www.vvide.com is worth $564.54
Not bad for a weeks work....maybe its all thanks to HART and his competition at 1800hart.com/blog/ which gave me a link at Technorati
-
That would be nice
Or .. maybe it's all your doing!
It's also based on your PR this calculation. And, speaking of 1800HART.com/blog/ ... it is showing $9,032.64 (it's PR0 now). PetLvr.com/blog/ is not that bad (it's PR3 now) .. and is showing $39,517.80.
Both were PR5 in May07 and one of the above was 6 about $129k and the other $91k ...

Google PR has nothing to do with it. It is powered by Technorati.
Below quote taken from the "How Much Is Your Blog Worth" page.

I look at it as a morale booster.
BTW Google tweaked their PR ranking just a little while back. -

Everything is only worth as much as the sucker willing to buy it. But is there even a site out there that will sell "used" blogs? There are lot of used car sites and used house sites. You can even find sites that advertised existing business you can buy. But has anyone successfully sold their blog to someone else?
Question then arises, with such an ease to entry into the blogging market, why buy an existing blog, when you can start your own for free? -
Here is a word of advice if you are trying to build value for your blog. As you know, many media acquisition strategies involve purchasing high profile media sites based on value of traffic. It makes it much easier for your site to be acquired if you own a fully qualified domain name (FQDN and not a subdomain of blogspot) and also the implementation of the technology it is hosted on. In other words you should consider installing WordPress or Movable type on shared, VPN or dedicated server with your own domain and not a subdomain...if you want to build a media property with more value that is easier to acquire. If you have your own installation then the property can be migrated easily. Also, if you use feedburner for your RSS technology you should use a CNAME or a redirect so that you keep the visitors that have subscribed to your feed. I am speaking from experience of having acquired many niche media properties for a very prominent media company...

LSKcrochet...my point is that you should build your main domain (www.thejoyofhomemaking.com) to be worth the 5k and not the subdomain on blogspot. To do this you would need to make sure your inbound links are pointed at the thejoyofhomemaking.com and not lskcrochet.blogspot.com. You don't own the domain blogspot.com and someone acquiring your site will have troubles moving it off that domain. Make sense?
