How many hits do you receive per day?

How many visitors do you get per day? From where do you source these visitors?

I'm at around 150 but I'm not sure I trust those numbers because they come from adsense and clustermaps, not exactly perfect sources but it's all I have right now.

  As you should know, content is King. But if you do nothing to get your traffic nobody will come! You can start commenting on others people blog. Review other blog related to yours. Read article that will help your to get readers, etc
  
  Waiting to be indexed by google, can take a while. So you should take any opportunities to get more traffic. By the way, you have a great blog with good contents. But lack of traffic of course

I'm happy that I don't check the traffic usually. Maybe I write for myself?? Being new, I feel only that "content is the king" and stick to it. Traffic must follow sooner or later. Maybe I'm wrong!!

It depends.. it varies from 3000 to 4000 uniques per day... and around 7000 to 10000 page views. This doesn't count the 3000 RSS readers..

About 20% comes from google...

wow this conversation is like two men comparing their body parts size just for the record I think if one person reads your blog and their life is changed in some way then that is more comforting to me than 1000 people reading your blog and forgeting what it was about the moment they leave the page

  I concur with the body parts observation. My blog is still quite new and while I am doing things to get attention and increase traffic my main focus is on producing good quality content. I care more about communicating with people than about my *ick size

That is an incredibly good amount of traffic. I have only recieved traffic of that degree a couple of times. Being a personal blog I want people to stay and read, so if I had that much traffic and they were reading and commenting I would be in trouble.
For those of you who have personal blog twenty five to fifty if they come back is a good start it will go up incrementally as time goes by.

About 80, 80 percent from google..occasionally stumble or digg brings in 200 a day or so. I am not really sure how stumble works...why on occasions stumble all of a sudden brings in 200-300 in a day, and other days, nothing.

A lot of people in here say they get a lot of traffic from stumbleupon - maybe I did something wrong, but a few months ago all my stumble traffic died and has not returned, and I can't figure out why - anyone have any ideas?

  This happened to me as well and I have no idea what was the cause. While I made an account on the site to check it out, I couldn't figure out how it works so I am pretty clueless in this area. I am wondering if after a certain length of time it isn't active anymore? All I know is that I received stumble traffic for about a month and never saw less than 300 hits a day from it. And then one day it was gone and that was that. It went from over 300 hits to 0 hits in the matter of 24 hours. I have no idea!

I get about 270 to 300+ per day. It took a long time to get that kind of traffic. I do blog carnivals, I visit blogs. Getting into some controversies (didn't look for them, just happened) now and then pushes my traffic up at times and some of those readers stick around. Search engines are an important source for me as well.

I feel like Herb Tarleck, that greasy salesman from WKRP in Cincinnati, when he snorts and gives the answer thinking he's going to wow the crowd, but in reality he's a small fish in a big pond. Here we go.

I get about 60 hits per day on my diaryland site, but I'm in the process of moving to my new pad at my own domain. That one is pulling in a whopping 6 hits a day. Yes, it is incredible, I know.

Hits or page views? Page views I run anywhere between 70,000 to 110,000 each weekday. Weekends (Sat or Sun) I run around 30,000 - 50,000.

I think many bloggers sleep on the weekend traffic. If I post articles I see an immediate spike within minutes.

As far as the source, most are from message board links and Google search. RSS feeds are powerful.

I just started on Sept 1 and am getting around 20 unique hits a day, 40-90 page views, according to one service (which has only been running 5 days), though statcounter gives me around 1000 (views?) since day 1. I have been getting important responses from key authors around the world, though, and I'm starting to uncover new material to link to (that is unknown) in addition to writing my own. Jim

I wrote several articles on seo and the 'true' definition of keyword density and I also berated the free blog sites for being seo blackholes because they do not provide the two most important meta fields in the header. I was ridiculed by all the seo experts, but still enjoy excellent first page serp on at least 90% of the searches that send people to my blogs. I just check about 4 of them tonite and they were all first page.

  My site is all over the place too, the best day this month so far was 13940 on the 25th down to 202 on the 6th. Stumble is the biggest reason but I am now getting regular traffic from Facebook since I set up my RSS feed on my notes app on my profile.

My norm is between 100-200 when I am not posting anything big or pushing my blog. Now, last week when I added some new patterns it went as high as 1,200 one day 1,700 another and then down to like 800 and it'll keep going back down to 100-200 again until I do something new again.

  As far as I can work out Stumbling your own stuff is fine, but it too many people give you the thumbs down, over time Stumbling your own stuff just wont do any thing. You need to make sure you are Stumbling other sites to get your status up a little.

between 600-12,000 hits per day. The more interesting the content is, the more hits, naturally. I think if we had the chance to blog every day the traffic would be even better.

Rather than hits I would say I am getting 10 visitors per day. Whose bounce rate is 0.00% in analytics. 75% of them are coming from SEs like yahoo,Google,aol,search and avun.

  What stats system do you have? There is probably a way to set it up so that hits from your computer's IP address don't register in the counter. I recommend using Google Analytics, because it is very to filter out hits from your own computer(s).

Kiwi-I am so impressed with your numbers. I get about 300 to 700 depending on it I am stumbled. what are your thougths about squidoo? I did what you said. I always post on other sites. I even got reblogged by a major site, but he reblogged so much of my content, no one really had to go to my site. I give up! I spend alot of time on my content. I wish I knew what readers wanted! Most of my traffic is google with indirects from other sites. Any thoughts? Perhaps I am too much of a niche with green building and green living content? I thought the world was going green? anna

I don't get a lot of visitors, at the begining of December I set a goal to reach 20 visitors per day as my blog is still under 3 months. So far this month I've averaged about 28 visits per day, I'm still on track so far! Any tips?

when i first made my blog, i was much more intent on stumbling my page and all the tricks you hear of. and i guess they worked okay, but now im just relying on the return vistors. i dount think ive reached that many people, but the people i do seem to be coming back.
