Hi guys! I just want to share this list of ping services I got from the internet. Hope this helps! The ping services will allow you to automactically notify blog directories and search engines that your blog has been updated. The more you have ping lists the higher chances of receiving or increasing traffic from those sources. (Wordpress users can modify their ping list on the Control Panel, then Options, then Writing while on blogsome Options then writing options after that you can put the list of your ping services below.)

    dont forget that some will be connected to each other and could get you banned as spam. Always check up on them first

      So which do you use?
  2. dibeE
    crkian what do you mean? Can you explain it to me because I am newbie here in blogcatalog.

      Some ping services will then ping your stuff onto other places. If you ping a couple of services which then ping the same places you will end up pinging somewhere at least twice for one update.

      Some directories and search engines will count this as spamming

    You can ping BlogCatalog directly at rpc.blogcatalog.com

    I'm wonder if using any of those is needed if using a Wordpress.com hosted blog(seeing as Ping O Matic is notified with each new post automatically).

      @kataztrophy
      All wordpress[do]com free hosted blogs have pinogmatic built in to the themes. You do not need to manually ping. When you publish these services are automatically notified pingomatic.com/
      Wait for an hour after you publish and then check Technorati to see if your new post is there. Usually it will be but if it's not then use their manual ping service technorati.com/ping
      Note what crkian said above. Never use multiple pinging services because if you do and there is an overlap between them you will be categorized as a "ping spammer" and black listed.

    @crkian

    thanks for the info!

    @kataztrophy

    I just want to ask what is the best list or let us say the list of your pings you used? Can I know it?

    @ to those who reply!

    Thanks for the reply!

    Have a nice day to all!

    Unfortunately Blogger.com doesn't seem to do this for me. I know there is the option for "Add your blog to our listings" and "Let search engines find your blog?" but still my blog does not update on technorati or blogcatalog until I log into my account and ping the service. Is there some kind of windows base application or script that can do this for me? A web-based script? Or should I just right my own and post the source on my blog for others to use??

    @alexhiggines732

    I think your blog has no ping services by technorati and blogcatalog into the option of your blog.
  8. dibeE
    no problem

    There is only one ping service that I use and I will proudly make the statement that it's the best on the internet, it makes all the other services look like they trying to be a ping service.

    This service "automatically" pings your blog with 92 ping services the most of any pinging service on the internet, your not pinging your blog to the fullest extent until you try this out. Forget about the others because they just don't deliver what this service does.

    Also do not use this service after every post, you should be pinging your blog just once a week that way you don't get penalized from the SE's.

    www.pingler.com

    Give it a try, you will be impressed.

    Cheers,
    Don

    I like pingomatic

    Yes but how can you measure the effect of these? And is it really desirable to be read by as many people as possible? I prefer readers with a genuine interest in my drawings or articles.

    You can Ping at once to all services at sunl.110mb.com

    Ping services ping multiple sites and an overlap can occur where the same site is being repeatedly pinged by more than one service. When that occurs repeatedly you can be viewed as being a “ping spammer”. Reference: Ping spammer or not?
