    When my children were university students, they should have understood the value of money but didn't. They would say "Let me buy this pair of shoes, it only costs $200. You can afford that easily".

    I was outraged at their cavalier attitude.. how many hours of work it took me to earn $200; how many people in the community did NOT have that sort of money to throw away on luxuries; why they couldn't wear the perfectly good shoes that were lying in the bottom of their cupboard.

    *sigh* kids today... they are not like kids were, in my day.

      I already gave my top three peeves:
      1. their cavalier attitude to the use of my money;
      2. their ignorance of financial hardship in this country; and
      3. their unpreparedness to recycle, repair, make do.

      Now let me add "messiness". I don't want to be able to eat off their floor. Just to SEE their floor.

    Kids that argue with you. My daughter's only 3 years old, in any case her argument isn't invited yet.

    Mine always have to have the last word

    I have to drag them out of bed for school, but they bounce up at 6.45am at the weekends

    they have a favourite food one day, then when the fridge is full of it they "don't like that anymore"

    In no particular order:

    *Throwing food on the floor when she does not want it.
    *Pulling all of the DVD's out of the DVD rack
    *Picking up anything with liquid in it and pouring it on the floor

    My daughter is 21 months old so she is still doing a lot of exploring.
