    I was born in Alexandria, Egypt (I am 1/2 Eygptian, 1/4 French, and 1/4 Dutch). I have lived in the U.S. since I was 2. I grew up in Montana but have lived in San Francisco most of my adult life. I am now bicoastal and divide my time between San Francisco and Boston.

       Awwwwww...Dawn. Don't ya at least have an itsy-bitsy independence for Texas movement down there? Everybody in Oklahoma thinks ya do 'cause that's what they hear from Texans. Or do Texans just talk that way in Oklahoma because it has those "5 Civilized Tribes" that assert their own sovereignty?

       Naw... I was born in Lawton, Oklahoma. Therefore, I kind of sit in the middle. Besides, I've lived in too many states to claim that Texas should be a country unto itself and, on top of that, my mother was half Cherokee. So, I guess you could say that I'm more partial to the Cherokee reservation than the sovereignty of either Texas or the "5 civilized clans". :-)
