Would you write a post for a dollar?

When i started out, i would hit up forums to get some paying gigs for my blog. I started reviewing websites for $1. Then i stepped it up to 5 bucks. Now, i hold out for higher paying gigs. My question is, would you write a post for $1? Or is the sell out price too low.
btw, i'm doing a sales pitch competition at my blog. www.bloggernoob.com/give-me-your-sales-pitch/06/ 3 winners. but everyone gets paid at least a dollar.

do they take that much commission? i didn't even realize. ouch. i should change the title to "would u post for 67 cents?" cause i'm a cheapo, im not gonna fork for 2 more quarters.

it's all relative. I believe it's something like %'age plus 30cents per transaction. So, if you pay someone $100 thee 30 cents is buried in the fee, but for $1 it's VERY noticeable
And - that's not to mention the fee to take it out of your payable to your bank, if you don't spend it - unless it's over $500 in the transfer. Well, that is for us here in Canada.

Not "for" a dollar, no, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't write a post that paid a dollar. Like Jenn, I wouldn't do a paid review, but I'd sell a post to another blog or site for a dollar if I had a plan. Then again, I'm at radical odds to most of the professional writing world on the issue of writing for free.

Not intentionally, but based on Adsense revenue it appears all of our post combined are worth about a dollar. LOL

I don't have the kind of time I've realized it takes to try to make money off of my blogs. I can spend all day contacting and commenting and favoriting and rarely get much back in return. So for me it's not about money. I'm just doing it for me and hoping that at least someone out there is reading. I'd only take that dollar if it was something I really believed in and even then I'd probably do it for free.

No that would be too insulting, I would rather give it up for free...let them donate the change to the Ronald McDonald house

Well Doc, that gives me an idea, what if we all blogged for a dollar and sent the money to the food effort for Burma? I would blog for a dollar like that. It would make a good Unite project.

This is top secret!
Nah seriously, I didn't advertise for over 4 months on entrecard, what I did is keep dropping everyday and winning entrecards credits on other blogs. Since I'm writing about advertising, I decided last week to launch a mega campaign by buying all the small entrecard spots and buy some popular spots at the end of the campaign. It was successful enough! I get 20k on entrecard credits back and lot of traffic. Average traffic on each blog I received is around 50 visitors per cards. Not so bad when you know I placed for over 500+
I guess nobody seen so much ads placed at the same time! lol

I wrote a post for nothing, just for the chance to win $10, and it was a good long post, and it was even linking to Bloggernoob but I don't think he's noticed - sigh, making money online isn't easy

I would to help out the one in need of review but not as my real focus. My initial paid review fee on my first job was $10 and now ranging between $9-$30 per review for just few words.

As first intention I would say no, but then it depends for who I write this post also.
If it was for a great forum or a well established site, I would certainly not accept one dollar...if a great site thinks my blog is a good place and exposure for them I think that what they'll get out of it is worth more than a dollar. In this case price for me would start at $5 and increase depending the lenght of that article.
Now if it is about reviewing a newbie blog or site, or a charity one, or even a small site, yes I could accept one dollar, even do it for free... -

Sorry to be so slow with this link... about May 15th

It just seemed like a good time to team up and help out in Burma. -

i think $5/post is a good price for small blogs. But at the same time, there are so many small blogs around. It's hard to sell it. But at 1 dollar, i'm sure it's easy to find takers. I did that when i first started my blog. It wasn't much, but it started me on my journey to make money with my blog. a buck isn't much, but it's still a buck.

Actually, I am doing reviews for a one-way link. Is that worth a dollar? I wouldn't think of charging until I had a rep of good review writing. Does it pay well? Mr. Bloggernoob - you did it right. Best success to you. Hold out for $10, then go up to $15 because of the price of gas.

What do you guys from Blogger community think about GDI opportunity? spidernets.blogspot.com/2008/05/income-for-life.html
Sorry for jumping into topic like that.

At one point I would do $5, now it's $10 on my not-so-popular blogs and for my review site it's several hundred dollars for a full review.
