After having served in the Army Infantry for seven years, General Electric hired me on as an independent contractor. At the conclusion of my time with GE I was approached by a vendor that would eventually mentor me in the building service field. Since 1991, I have been self-employed in various capacities including janitorial contracting, specification writing and B2B sales.
